To correct it for once and for all, not all sugar is bad for you. It is the refined white sugar that is the culprit behind earning a bad name for sugar. Over consumption of refined sugars may cause type 2 diabetes, brain inflammation, tryptophan depletion, slow thyroid function, testosterone depletion in men and even insulin resistance and dementia in extreme cases.

Starting from the basics, all sugar is carbohydrates. High consumption of processed sugar also triggers appetite thus leading to overeating that is widely responsible for the obesity epidemic that has spread in all parts of the world. However, there is no need to totally eliminate sugar from your diet. As long as you have sugar in moderation, there would be no ill-effects of the same.

Stomach flu is a condition that is caused by the viruses that are different from the ones that causes influenza. It is actually a condition known as viral gastroenteritis and is caused by a number of viruses that infect the intestines. When these viruses infect the intestines, they cause very uncomfortable symptoms that will keep you indoors for days.
On the other hand, food poisoning is normally caused by bacteria that are found in the food that you normally eat. Food contamination can happen at any stage during the preparation and it does not mean that it only gets contaminated when it is ready to eat. How will you know then that you are suffering from food poisoning and not stomach flu? The symptoms of both conditions do not always give the answer because they are similar and both have symptoms such as nausea, chills, fever, diarrhea, vomiting and a times dizziness and lightheadedness due to dehydration.

Finger tendonitis is an inflammation that occurs on the tendons that join the finger muscles to the bones. The condition is characterized by irritation and swelling of the tendons. The symptoms include not being able to bend a finger joint and pain when you bend it.

There may also be some mild swelling on the first joint after the fingertip. Finger tendonitis can be treated through natural means. This involves icing the affected place and then splintering it. Some light massage can also help treat finger tendonitis. Resting the affected joint for about three weeks is also a good remedy.

It is very important to establish the exact symptoms of dizziness and these symptoms should be separated from the vertigo which is a kind of feeling that the room is spinning or moving. There are many causes of dizziness which include vertigo, emotional stress, lightheadedness, fainting, ear conditions, balance problems, labyrinthitis, brain conditions, cerebral hemorrhage, cardiovascular disease, hypoglycemia, anemia among others.

Sweating more than normal can be as a result of so many things. If you find out that you or your child is sweating more than normal, it is good to find out what causes the sweating. This is because excessive sweating is a sign of some diseases. Sweating in itself is a symptom of other illnesses so you need to know the normal level of sweating. Some of the possible causes of sweating include anger, nervousness, hot drinks, spices in food, emotional stress, humidity, smoking, fear, alcohol consumption among others.

Cholesterol is a fatty substance that is produced by the liver and is abundant in animal proteins. What makes Cholesterol dangerous for your health is that it is carried in the blood and gets deposited along the walls of arteries, thereby making the flow of blood difficult. The two type of cholesterol are hdl and ldl, the latter being the bad cholesterol.

Watching a diet that contains less animal fat would be necessary to contain the levels of bad cholesterol in the body. That is because the liver can easily produce more cholesterol than your body’s needs. Engaging in exercises will also be helpful in using up the produced cholesterol alongside increasing vegetables, fruit and protein from plants such as nuts.

It is necessary to get checked for the amount of cholesterol in your blood regularly to determine how much exercise you need to do, and the extent to which your diet needs to adjust.

Statin is known to reduce cholesterol level to a great extent but this drug does not come free of side-effects.

See for yourself the major side effects of Statin:

It has been observed that Statin causes a significant rise in the liver enzymes. However, doctors and researchers have concluded that a mild rise is safe but if there is a moderate rise, it should be better to put a stop to the consumption of this drug. Continued consumption might cause the liver to damage completely.

Muscle pain is another side effect of Statin. This is mainly accompanied with soreness and tiredness of muscle joints. If neglected, it can be severe enough to experience rhadomyolosis, which further leads to severe muscle damage and thereafter kidney failure and death.
