Extreme Diet Dangers

Men and women across the world often follow extreme diets driven by their desire to fit in a smaller clothes size. However, seldom do they realize that they are doing more harm than good by following such extreme diets that may help them lose body fat in the initial months but will not be effective in keeping the weight off in the long term. In fact, such extreme diets can also have irreversible side effects that can cause internal weakness that may take months to cure.
It is even possible for a person following an extreme diet to develop an eating disorder like anorexia or bulimia. This leads to severe preoccupation with one’s looks and can even cause mental break down. In extreme cases this has proved to be fatal as well. Since most extreme diets are not balanced and deprive the body of a particular nutrient, it is likely to result in the occurrence of a deficiency disease.
