Kidney stone is a term that is used to describe the formation of stones or calculi around the urinary system. The cause of most kidney stones is not known but in most cases it is as a result of the presence of too much calcium in the urine and it is followed by not drinking adequate amount of water each day. Other studies have found out that it is a kind of hereditary disease which occurs if someone in your family has had the disease.
Kidney stones developed more in men than in women but the number of women who have kidney stones is high. The symptom of kidney stone is extreme pain that occurs normally at the back and side in the kidney area or sometimes in the lower abdomen. It is best to treat kidney stones as soon as possible because when they grow and become larger it renders urination impossible which can bring about severe medical conditions.
