Maintain a balanced sodium level

For sports persons and especially for athletes, a balanced sodium level of the body is absolutely essential to maintain fitness through out the day. Due to hectic training sessions and practices, chances are high for athletes to loose too much sodium content from the body in the form of sweat. So, special care has to be taken to get sufficient sodium before and after training.

Athletes should be cautious enough to have drinks of sodium content in excess or they should have some salty food before and after the practice sessions. Some non-steroidal particles like aspirin should be avoided as this would aid loosing sodium from the body.
