Making sense of soy protein

Nutritionists across the world have hailed the benefits of including soy protein in everyday diet, especially if the person is a vegetarian. However, there is a lot of confusion about the exact benefits and the quantity of soy protein that one can take on a regular basis to avail its health benefits. To begin with, all the soy products available in the market are made from soybeans. These include even whole soy products such as tofu, soymilk, soy fl our, tempeh and miso.
Regular intake of soy proteins in a prescribed amount provides multiple health benefits such as lowering the risk of cardiovascular disease, preventing cancer, providing relief from osteoporosis and even relieving menopausal symptoms. However, despite its many benefits, it can prove harmful depending on the form and amount you intake. To sum up, moderation is the keyword here. As long as you take this in moderate amounts, you do not run the risk of facing any adverse effects.
