Nutrition myths
by Nutrition Man ~ October 2nd, 2009. Filed under: Myths without Nutrition !.
Terrible myths percolate in terms of nutrition. Asia and Europe manifest the “myths” syndrome the most. For instance, teenagers who are hell bent on shedding weight tend to believe that shaking away fats and carbs in entirety would help them. Nothing could be far from the truth. In complete absence of carbs and fats, the body begins to store fat as it feels that a famine phase is nearing. It only builds on the flab.
Another instance is related to protein supplement intake. Not many people know that it works best only when you have a substratum weight and muscle index to support your cause. If a person is malnourished then no amount of protein supplement can be of any help. A lot of myths also relate to nutrition related to cardiovascular exercises and strength and weight training.
In times when we do not often find enough time to keep ourselves healthy, these myth need to be busted with great alacrity.
