Nutrition: Unknown Facts

For the past many years, there have been several debates on the topic of nutrition and what exactly is it. Several groups have their own theory and they try to force it on others. But looking in a simple way, nutrition is a process by which we provide the body with vital nutrients whilst avoiding the food to take away the required nutrients. You may not believe it but some of the foods you take make you weak instead of providing you energy.
Take for example, a bottle of coke. It has almost a zero value of nutrients. But when you drink it, the metabolism process starts to digest it and retain whatever minerals it can acquire while passing on the useless to the kidneys for excretion. The entire process consumes more energy than the bottle of coke could ever give you. Same is the case with many other drinks including coffee, tea etc. This does not mean that you should avoid them but it is better if you reduce the intake of such foods.
Many times people skip meals thinking that avoiding meals for a day will not make any difference. But it will. The body needs energy and if you do not supply it from outside, it draws the energy from its reserves. These reserves are the immunes that help you fight diseases. So next time you think of skipping your meal, remember that you are compensating on your immunity system as the body will draw the required energy from that system.
There are several other facts that nobody makes public. But these two are of utmost importance and hence I explained them here.
