Special nutrition needs during pregnancy

Pregnancy is a time of bliss; ethereal bliss but it is also a time when an expecting mother should use caution. The idea is to live very moderately. The pressure of carrying a complete organism is a challenge and a responsibility. A mother needs to take care of all that she eats as what she eats determines what the fetus receives through the placenta.
First of all, it is advised to keep away from delinquent substances like alcohol and nicotine. Second, it is important to cut down on fats, carbs and a lot of junk variety. Ice creams and sugary, carbonated drinks are also prohibited. (It might lead to gestational diabetes in few pregnant women)
Fibers, fruits and vegetables in moderate meal-courses are ideal for a pregnant woman. It is also advised to take fluids and herbal tea. Anything which soothes the nerves is thought of highly in medical science for expecting mothers.
