Amla is one of the gifted fruits that mankind has got to exploit. Amla is widely used in several ayurvedic medicines because of its richness in natural nutrients. Amla is the richest fruit with vitamins and minerals and in fact, it contains vitamins more than 20 times as than in orange.

Amla has been used as a traditional fruit to reduce the cholesterol levels in blood. One teaspoon mixture of powdered Amla and sugar candy when missed with water serves as an effective medicine against high cholesterol levels.
