Diabetic footIf you are experiencing that numb sensation in your feet which is mainly caused by diabetic neuropathy, it is probably due to diabetic foot ulcers.

To prevent diabetic foot ulcers you can follow these precautionary tips:

Inspect your toes and feet on a regular basis for any kind of bruises, or infections. If possible appoint someone to take care of your feet.

Always use luke warm water and gentle soap to wash your feet. However, keep in mind that if you expose your feet to water every now and then, it may cause your protective calluses to become loose.

You must wear shoes which are comfortable enough for you. If you chose to wear heels then see to it that they are firm enough to support your feet.

During an appointment with the medical practitioner, make sure you do not hesitate to complain of a sore which is not healing well.
