Vitamins and minerals that improve vision

Eyesight is something we cannot afford to lose or let degenerate, but it is also something we take the most for granted.

There are several preventions you can practice – sun-protection, material damage protection, getting enough rest and sleep and suchlike, but there are also some natural methods of combatting the degeneration of eye sight. Primary in these is the consumption of some vital vitamins and minerals.

The Vitamins C and E are most important for your eyes. Vitamin E combats the early onset of macular degeneration (which causes eyesight loss) and is also a very powerful anti-oxidant. It is therapeutic for the retina. Vitamin C is also another anti-oxidant which works in harmony with Vitamin E to promote the health of your eye.

The minerals like Zinc and those present in fish oil are mandatory for proper eye-health. Zinc is a basic demand of all the cells of your body and so it helps with the strengthening of your eyes cells. Fish oil contains has compounds which thwart macular degeneration and other eye diseases.
