Apart from ensuring that you eat nutritional food, it’s essential that the vegetables and fruits you choose to eat are washed well. This is very important because there are a whole lot of chemicals that’s used to protect crops and as such you need to wash vegetables and fruits thoroughly. A lot of vegetables grow close to the soil or even below the soil and these can have traces of soil even if you can’t see it. Make sure that you wash thoroughly under running water.
In case of leafy vegetables or peas and smaller vegetables if you’re washing them in a bowl, make sure your rinse well and repeat this action at least twice or thrice to ensure thorough cleaning. Even if you’re in a hurry, don’t sacrifice on cleaning your fruits and vegetables because this will affect your health and cause ailments, especially stomach disorders which can be severe.
